ABOUT US
The Barn offers a cozy modern farmstay located at one of Brisbane’s fanciest rural neighbourhood called Brookfield. We offer an eco-camping site, comfortable accommodation, and also the option to hire the whole venue to host your event, wedding or workshop. You will have access to a fully equipped kitchen, toilets, shower, BBQ area, fire pit, organic gardens and tree-shaded private glamping spots.

Mount Coot-tha

There are several popular walking tracks around Mount Coot-tha, one of which includes an art display comprising works produced by local Aboriginal artists.
Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

A wonderful meeting with the Koalas and other native animals such as the famous Platypus. 15 mins from the Barn.

Gold Creek Reservoir
​
​For adventurous hikers, the 5.5 km track around the circumference of the reservoir provides an interesting, varied and challenging hike through thick bush.
Simpson's falls
​
Swim in the cascade waterfall and hike the Eugenia track. Visitor facilities in the forest include picnic tables, barbecues and toilets. The forest may be approached from Sir Samuel Griffith Drive or Gap Creek Road, Mt Coot-tha.

Slaughter's falls
​
This is a beautiful bushy gorge with grassy creek banks for picnics and barbecues, an open air bush chapel and resident crested cockatoos. Two interlinked tracks, the Aboriginal Art Trail and the Summit Track originate here.

The Barn is a calm and tranquil bush setting only 4 minutes to drive to local shopping centre, 400 meters walk to the Brookfield Store and walking distance to public transport (40 mins to city center). You can sit on the deck watching parrots and other native birds or go hiking in the nearby Mt Coot-tha forests. Experience country living near to a big city!
